"The 'No Percentage in Caution' 7-inch serves as something of a bridge between the noise collage approach of our previous albums and the more rhythm based/song focused direction we’re heading in. The title track on the A-side is a brand new song we wrote and recorded right before heading out on our current tour with Portrayal of Guilt. The B-side, “Bench Warrant” was written and recorded during the Dry Drunk sessions, but was ultimately cut from that album due to its slower, more melancholy sound interfering with pacing. Lyrically, both songs address the idea of taking chances and being willing to risk safety and comfort for a shot at something that makes you feel genuinely alive. Growth over stagnation, whatever the cost. This record also marks the first time we’ve released Street Sects material through Portrayal of Guilt Records. Matt has been a close friend and collaborator since the earliest days of the band, and we’ve long admired his work as both an artist and a label owner.
