Lemon Crush" is the spiritual successor to "Cherry Crush. Jesse explains its simple story:
“The title track was born almost by an accidental ‘eureka’ moment in the studio when I was working on the original “Cherry Crush” track. I had soloed some of the arpeggios and they sounded incredible just on their own and then another melody line entered my mind, I quickly added that and a few more sounds and this alternate version of “Cherry Crush” was created.
“It had a special feeling about it so I quickly made a 3 minute loop of just the main melody section. I saved this file as “Lemon Crush” for fun and kept it in my rather large “work in progress” folder and went back to finishing “Cherry Crush”.
“After the “Into the Night” album I thought I should finish it together with some other tracks I had rough sketches for which were on a much more uplifting ‘summer’ vibe.
“Additionally when working on the “Cherry Crush” artwork I’d saved some other photo options of the model and it made sense to make a follow up EP package and here we are today... .”
