I am so excited to finally share the Vicious World EP with you all. This collection of six tracks is the perfect bridge into the next chapter of 2026, showcasing the full spectrum of where I am right now. When I asked you at the start of the year if you wanted a "hard" or "soft" start, the answer was loud and clear: you wanted that stompy, EBM energy. We delivered that in February with "Vicious World," followed by "Not My First Time”, a track that dived deep into the brooding, atmospheric textures I’ve been exploring too. But as you know, Ayria never stays in one box. For the two brand-new tracks on this EP, I decided to do a 180-degree turn. I wanted to move away from the industrial grit just for a bit,and fully embrace catchy, infectious synth-pop. "Long Gone" is a song that holds a lot of weight for me. It might sound sweet on the surface, but lyrically, it’s devastating. I haven’t been this open or written lyrics this painful since "Lovely Day" on Flicker. It’s a completely honest disclosure of what I’ve been through these past few years. It hasn't been pretty, and there is a lot of emotions I’ve had to process, but I wanted to set that to a danceable backdrop as I love the juxtaposition. On the flip side, there’s "Antihero." This track is a slow, sexy, 80s-inspired anthem. It’s an anti-love song about desire, pleasure, and sharing moments and secrets. I wanted to show that I can explore sensuality and playfulness, too. And to be clear, while I love exploring these melodic textures, I want you to know that the upcoming full-length album features tracks that get even harder and harsher than "Vicious World." There is a massive amount of fury I’ve needed to get off my chest, and that intensity is coming. This EP is just one side of the coin; the stompy, high-octane Ayria is very much alive and headed your way. The EP also includes my cover of Madonna’s "Burning Up," which I’m thrilled to finally have in a physical format, and a hard-hitting, dancey remix of "Vicious World" by the legendary Sebastian R. Komor. Thank you for being here for the journey, the highs, the lows, and everything in between. May 8th both digitally and in physical CD format with artwork by the talented Vlad McNeally. I can’t wait for you to hear this. Love, Ayria
