Ayria
Ayria is the solo project of Toronto's Jennifer Parkin, who launched the act in 2003 after leaving the futurepop outfit Epsilon Minus. Across seven albums and two decades of touring, she has built a catalog that swings between floor-filling EBM stomps and melancholic synth-pop ballads, often within the same record. Five releases on Belgium's Alfa Matrix established the project internationally; a 2020 signing to Artoffact Records brought her sixth album, This Is My Battle Cry, and headlining runs through the US, UK, and Canada. Her live band has featured collaborators from VNV Nation and other corners of the dark electronic scene, and guest vocal credits with Front Line Assembly, Aïboforcen, and Implant place her at the center of a wide web of industrial-adjacent projects.
