W O L F C L U B

W O L F C L U B formed in Nottingham in 2014, when Steven Wilcoxson and Chris Paul-Martin started writing songs that sounded like the 1980s had left something unfinished. The duo builds from analog synths, guitar, and a rotating cast of guest vocalists, landing closer to the ache of a John Hughes closing scene than to the neon menace most of the synthwave scene reaches for. Their 2019 album Frontiers reached number 7 on the Billboard electronic album sales chart. A year later, six of their tracks turned up in the soundtrack to the film Infamous, and their music has since carried TV advertisements and BBC Radio airplay. DJ Tim Hartwell joins them for live shows, where ten albums of material, from the 2017 self-titled debut through Lake Street and City of Once, get played loud.
