Véhémence

Véhémence is a medieval black metal band from Paris, active since 2013, built around multi-instrumentalist Tulzcha and vocalist B.R. The music places blastbeat-driven black metal against hurdy-gurdy, nyckelharpa, and flute, all sung in French and rooted in medieval sagas and fantasy. Their 2019 album Par le Sang Versé earned a Bandcamp New and Notable designation; 2022's Ordalies expanded to a full guest ensemble and drew wide critical recognition as the band's strongest record. A fourth album, Assiégé Pour l'Éternité, is due June 2026 on Antiq Records.
