Twisted Teens

Twisted Teens are Caspian Halliwell and RJ "Razor Ramone" Santos, two neighbors from New Orleans' Holy Cross neighborhood who started making records in Caspian's house with a drum machine, a cheap condenser and a podcast mic stuffed into the kick drum. What came out was a ragged, sticky strain of country-punk, Caspian's worn drawl scraping against RJ's surreal steel guitar, built on the bones of early rock 'n' roll and old American folk rather than any punk rulebook. Their self-titled debut arrived in 2024 with little fanfare. Then 2026 happened: Blame the Clown in February, Florida Water Blues in July, and The Holy Cross Tigers, a breakup record and their Sub Pop debut, in November. Somewhere between the second and third albums they sold out the Bowery Ballroom and went on the road with Kurt Vile.
