TURQUOISEDEATH

London-based producer TURQUOISEDEATH builds fast, colour-saturated electronic music from the collision of drum and bass, jungle, and breakcore, threading in slower atmospheric passages that owe more to post-rock than to any dancefloor. The project began in the artist's mid-teens with a run of relentless, high-tempo releases that stood out from the genre's more streamlined revival crowd, and has since slowed into denser, more patient territory without losing its nervous energy. Recent records, including Kaleidoscope and the 2026 EP Soundsystem, Breathe!, layer vocal samples, live-feeling percussion, and squelching synth work into tracks that play more like short stories than beats. TURQUOISEDEATH also records under the alias 18 DAYS and is affiliated with the BREAKERS GANG and switchsystems collectives, trading collaborations and shout-outs with artists like Asian Glow and Parannoul across a scene built on mutual influence. The music has found a devoted following that treats each release as a small event, picking apart its samples and rhythmic tricks track by track.
