This is Lorelei
New York-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Nate Amos has spent over a decade quietly amassing a catalog of somewhere between 150 and 250 songs under the name This Is Lorelei — a solo project that started as holiday-break home recordings in Vermont and grew into a restless, genre-hopping body of work spanning ambient noise, pop-punk, lo-fi, and country. His 2024 debut proper, *Box for Buddy, Box for Star*, marked a deliberate pivot toward confessional singer-songwriter craft, written sober for the first time after 15 years; the follow-up *Holo Boy* arrived in December 2025 as a reimagining of early catalog material. Amos is also the lead guitarist and producer of Brooklyn art-pop duo Water From Your Eyes, and grew up in a bluegrass household — a lineage that surfaces in his melodic instincts even when the surrounding production is anything but acoustic.
