The Trip

The Trip is the DJ and production duo of Max van Dijk and Oliver Hiam, London-based founders of the club night and record label Tessellate, who have been throwing parties since 2013 and releasing music as The Trip since 2020. Their sound pulls from a decade on the dancefloor — UKG, progressive house, tech house and garage-y drums from the '90s onward — assembled into a sample-heavy style that BBC Radio 1's Sarah Story called the work of a "DJ's Producer." In 2025, a nomination for the DJ Mag Best of British Breakthrough Producer Award arrived alongside remixes for Palms Trax and Job Jobse's new label, while their music has become a fixture in sets by Avalon Emerson, Ben UFO, Shanti Celeste and Moxie.
