The Thrillseekers Present Hydra

English DJ and record producer Steve Helstrip has been releasing music as The Thrillseekers since 1999, when his debut single "Synaesthesia" — recorded in a modest home studio in Oxfordshire — sold over 12,000 copies and drew early support from Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold. What followed was two decades of melodic, emotionally-driven trance: club anthems like "The Last Time," "Affinity," and "This Is All We Have," co-productions with Chicane and Ferry Corsten, and remixes for Tiësto and Armin van Buuren, who has publicly called Helstrip one of his personal heroes. He operates his own imprint, Adjusted Music, and records under several aliases, most notably Hydra, whose 2019 double album Altered State drew comparisons to the classic-era trance records that first defined his sound.
