Tha Trickaz

Tha Trickaz are Pho and DJ iRaize, a Paris duo rooted in the 18th arrondissement who began making beats together in the early 2000s, with hip-hop and sampling as the foundation and anime, kung fu films, and cinematic orchestration layered on top over the years. Their productions occupy a precise intersection of trap, dubstep, and boom bap—dense, bass-heavy constructions that carry the weight of a film score and the momentum of a club set. They run their own label, Otodayo Records, and have produced for French heavyweights including Gazo, Kaaris, and Freeze Corleone, while placing tracks in a Cannes 2020 official selection film, a Netflix series, and campaigns for Pepsi and Renault. Their live show, built around machines played as percussion instruments, once earned them a viral moment: 62 famous samples performed in real-time drumming, over 2.5 million views in a day.
