Sync24
Sync24 is the solo project of Swedish electronic producer Daniel Segerstad (also known as Daniel Vadestrid), one half of the ambient duo Carbon Based Lifeforms. The project grew out of a handful of tracks that didn't fit the CBL mold around 2004–2005, and the name itself borrows from an old Roland synth protocol for controlling the TB-303, a machine Segerstad uses heavily. His debut album Source arrived in 2007 on Ultimae Records, followed by Comfortable Void in 2012 and the aptly misspelled Omnious in 2018. Where CBL tends toward lush, expansive soundscapes, Sync24 leans more minimal and acid-tinged, with analogue textures that Segerstad describes as "brown and green"—music written while imagining old spruce forests. He also runs Leftfield Records, which since 2014 has served as the primary home for both his solo work and CBL releases.
