Stormkeep

Stormkeep is a Denver, Colorado melodic black metal band assembled in 2017 by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Isaac Faulk (known in the project as Otheyn Vermithrax), who also plays in Blood Incantation. Their sound laces the raw, frost-bitten riff architecture of mid-nineties European black metal with sprawling dungeon synth keyboards — a combination that was largely absent from contemporary metal when the band emerged. The 2020 EP *Galdrum* and the 2021 debut album *Tales of Othertime* built a devoted following in the underground through multiple sold-out pressings, and the band's second full-length, *The Nocturnes of Iswylm* — produced alongside Michael Zech and mastered by Arthur Rizk — is due in June 2026 via Vesperian. Themes of medieval fantasy, ancient legend, and invented mythology run through every release, constructed as chapters of an ongoing world rather than standalone records.
