“Making this EP has been a real evolution for us, both sonically and in our choice of themes. It’s about female empowerment, queerness, grief, relationships, family politics and metal health. We find ourselves going deeper into our personal stories, as well as voicing feelings about the polarised social and political climate that we find ourselves in. It’s a progression that has lead to the single and title track, “That Girl” - an empowerment song for anyone who identifies as female, which was the last track that we wrote and recorded for the EP. It’s the first time that we have self-produced a song, and, with our live band, tracked it together in the same room to capture the energy and sound that we make live.”
