SENNEN

Sennen formed in Norwich in 2002, when schoolfriends Rich Kelleway and Larry Holmes discovered a shared appetite for the Velvet Underground, and took their name from a Ride track that shares it with a Cornish village near Land's End. The 2005 mini-album Widows landed in Drowned in Sound's albums of the year and set the template: post-rock scale and guitar noise pushed up against vocal harmonies too sweet to be an accident, a combination one label boss described as the midpoint between Mogwai and Teenage Fanclub. Five albums followed across two decades, along with tours supporting dEUS and iLiKETRAiNS and placements on American television dramas including True Blood and One Tree Hill. The quartet - now completed by James Brown on drums and keys and Tim Kelleway on bass, and based in London - returns in late 2026 with New Quiet, its first new material in ten years.
