Rue Oberkampf

Rue Oberkampf is a Munich-based duo formed in Passau in 2016 by vocalist Julia de Jouy and producer Oliver Maier. Their sound draws from early industrial, techno, and darkwave - landing somewhere between dancefloor urgency and real menace. De Jouy's vocals, aching and raw, carry the emotional weight over pulsing synths and hard-driving rhythms, weaving lyrics of longing and disquiet through the goth underground. Since 2018 they have released a string of singles, EPs, and their full-length debut Christophe-Philippe, toured Europe and Canada, and shared stages with Molchat Doma, Lebanon Hanover, and DAF.
