Roosevelt

Roosevelt is the artist name of Marius Lauber, a producer, singer, and DJ from Viersen, Germany, who taught himself electronic composition on Logic Pro after years playing drums in a local indie band. His 2013 debut EP "Elliot" earned a Pitchfork Best New Track nod and set the template for a catalog now four albums deep - 1980s synth textures, Cologne club rhythms, and Balearic warmth, all written, recorded, and produced by Lauber alone. His fourth album "Embrace" (2023) marked a return to instinct after three records spent widening the genre's edges. His remix catalog runs from Rhye and Charlotte Gainsbourg to Taylor Swift, and his original tracks have turned up in everything from Forza Horizon 2 to NBA 2K18.
