Mouth Ulcers

Mouth Ulcers are a London quartet of Zak Watson, Josephine Rose, Jamie-Lee Culver and David Zbirka, who describe what they do as "music from the haunted suburbs" and, less solemnly, "music for vampires to dance to." The band took shape in 2025 when Watson rediscovered a folder of abandoned guitar riffs on his hard drive and impulsively turned one of them into a song. Their sound borrows from Joy Division, The Cure and Bauhaus, rebuilt by players young enough that the 1980s are inherited rather than remembered. Signed to LAB Records, they have released the singles Western Horror Story, A Perfect End, Prevail and Closer To You, sold out early shows in the UK and the Netherlands, and lined up their debut EP Silent Pictures for 2026.
