Lange Ft. Skye

Stuart Langelaan, recording as Lange, has spent nearly three decades reshaping what trance can sound like from the inside. Born in Shrewsbury in 1974, he signed his first contract in 1997 and built early credibility through remixes that drew immediate support from Paul van Dyk, Sasha, and Paul Oakenfold — before many producers had figured out how to finish a track. The 20 UK top-40 hits that followed include floor staples like "Drifting Away" and "Happiness Happening," alongside remix credits for Faithless and the Pet Shop Boys, whose "New York City Boy" remix landed on their Pop Art bonus disc. Where most artists from that first trance wave either froze in place or drifted off entirely, Lange kept producing: his 2008 single "Out of the Sky" reached the top 10 on the Beatport Trance chart and earned him a Beatport Top 10 Trance Artist nomination, two full career cycles after his debut. He runs his own imprint, Create Music, and continues to headline festivals from Tomorrowland to Dreamstate.
