Iceage

Iceage is a Danish post-punk quintet from Copenhagen, formed in 2008 when the four original members were barely into their teens, sharing a neighborhood and a ferocious appetite for hardcore, no wave, and post-punk. Their 2011 debut New Brigade arrived like a shout from a basement — twenty-five minutes of raw, throttling conviction — and each album since has tracked the band's restless evolution away from that starting point: the sprawling vaudeville of Plowing Into the Field of Love, the lush grandeur of Beyondless, the rain-soaked ecstatic warmth of Seek Shelter. Frontman Elias Bender Rønnenfelt writes lyrics that carry the weight of someone who has seen the party at the end of the night and decided to stay until last call; the band's sixth album, For Love of Grace & the Hereafter, arrives in May 2026.
