Haunt
Trevor William Church built Haunt as a Fresno solo project in 2017, then locked in a road-tested lineup to chase the sound of Iron Maiden and Angel Witch records he'd grown up on. His father, Bill Church, played bass across a decade of Sammy Hagar albums, and that lineage shows in Haunt's commitment to guitar harmonies and hook-first songwriting rather than studio polish. The band has released nine full-length albums in under a decade, an output pace closer to a working songwriter's notebook than a typical metal act's release calendar. Church writes and often records the material alone before bringing in touring members to bring it to the stage. Haunt has shared bills with Municipal Waste and Toxic Holocaust and played Psycho Las Vegas, building a reputation as one of the driving forces behind the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal.
