Graham Kartna makes music from Hamilton, Ontario, though he arrived there by way of YouTube Poop, cutting his teeth on absurdist video edits under the handle kurkop before the beats took over. An Estonian-Canadian producer and visual effects artist, he builds records out of chopped samples, off-kilter melodies, and a sense of humor that treats a wrong note as a punchline rather than a slip. His catalog runs deep and strange, from Ideation Deluxe and .temp to Toot Toot and 2025's World Of Dweebs, each one stitched together from the sort of quirks most producers sand off. Beyond his own releases, he contributed to the soundtrack for the animated ENA series, carrying his sound well outside the vaporwave circles that first embraced him. He animates his own album visualizers, which is to say the strangeness is not an accident. It is the point.
