Framewerk

Framewerk are Darren James and Alec Milliner, a London-based production duo who cut their teeth in the late-eighties UK acid house scene before joining forces as "Manhattan" during the mid-nineties progressive house wave. Decades of shared history gave way to the Framewerk project, where seventies prog-rock textures collide with breakbeat propulsion and deep electronic atmosphere across releases on Bedrock, Toolroom, Selador, Armada, and Global Underground. They run Capital Heaven, their own imprint, which has quietly become a reliable source of melodic breaks and leftfield electronica. Their catalogue stretches from club-floor progressive to downtempo chill-out, unified less by tempo than by a particular quality of mood: warm, unhurried, and built to reward a second listen.
