Feldup
Feldup is the recording name of Félix Dupuis, a French songwriter from Franche-Comté who taught himself to make records long before anyone was listening - roughly nine of them, self-produced, before his first professional album arrived. That album, A Thousand Doors, Just One Key (2020), earned him the tag "Child of Rock" from the newspaper Libération and a place on the Talitres roster. His songs move between cold ambient passages, lo-fi bedroom textures, and jagged alternative rock, built on autobiographical lyrics that trade polish for uncomfortable honesty. Stared at from a Distance followed in 2023, and Towards Happiness, cut in a proper studio alongside his band The Showerheads, drew on post-punk and the London Windmill scene. A sold-out 2024-2025 French tour and a Montreux Jazz Festival slot confirmed that the large audience he first built making horror and internet-mystery videos had followed him onto the stage.
