Ebony Pendant

Ebony Pendant is a nihilistic black metal project from Seattle, Washington, the sole work of multi-instrumentalist S.C. (Simon Coseboom), who writes, performs, and records every note himself. Three full-lengths since 2020 — including a split with Lamp of Murmuur and the 2025 release *Threnodies From The Coldlands* — chart a course of uncompromising second-wave worship: raw, cold production, shrieked vocals, and guitar work melodic enough to ache without softening the attack. The influences are unmistakably Norwegian and Finnish — Darkthrone, Immortal, Sargeist — but the execution is sharp enough to stand on its own terms in the USBM underground. Coseboom also plays in Degraved, Griefspell, and Cavurn, though Ebony Pendant is where the nihilism runs deepest.
