Dubmood
Dubmood is Kalle Jonsson, a Swedish chip musician based in Marseille who released his first tracker files in 1996 and has never really left the format behind. His music is built from square waves and four-channel arrangements: fast, melodic, and written first for crack intros and demo parties rather than for radio. He has been a public member of Razor 1911 for two decades, supplying keygen music to a group the US Department of Justice once described as the oldest software piracy ring on the internet. He also runs the label Data Airlines out of Marseille and Malmö, and has scored video games including Cosmoteer and Breaker. Younger chiptune acts routinely name him as the reason they started.
