Dreamcastle

Dreamcastle™ is an American vaporwave and plunderphonics project whose albums are organized around a premise most musicians would consider too narrow for an EP: the complete LEGO Castle product line from 1979 through 1998, say, or every Aquazone set that ever shipped. Tracks are named after specific set numbers and release years, sample sources are footnoted with archival precision, and a companion film of Blender-rendered minifigures usually arrives alongside the music. The project moves between dungeon synth, retrowave, and what the artist calls legowave, with occasional detours through the Sonic the Hedgehog and Bionicle catalogs. Physical releases come as handmade cassettes in norelco cases. Presiding over the whole operation is Majisto, 63rd curator, a wizard minifigure who speaks for the project in its liner notes.
