D.Rothon

D. Rothon is a south London musician and composer whose solo work centres on pedal steel guitar, layered with keyboards, Omnichord, Mellotron, theremin, and an ever-widening array of instruments that conjure something between a half-remembered film score and a midnight walk through a city that no longer quite exists. He has released several albums on Clay Pipe Music — including *Nightscapes* (2018), described by The Line of Best Fit as "an instant classic" — and collaborated with Ian Masters of Pale Saints, as well as contributing pedal steel to records by Marissa Nadler, Johanna Warren, Lost Horizons, the Hanging Stars, and Emily Barker. His 2026 mini-album *Angel Pavements*, inspired by early-to-mid twentieth century London novels by writers like James Curtis and Patrick Hamilton, marks his latest chapter with Clay Pipe.
