CHELSEA WOLFE
Chelsea Wolfe grew up in Northern California with a country-musician father and a home studio she started using before she was old enough to drive. Her first records paired gothic folk with tape hiss and distortion; the ones that followed pulled in doom metal weight, electronics, and collaborators drawn from Converge, Queens of the Stone Age, and Nine Inch Nails. She has recorded a full album with Converge, written film score with Tyler Bates for 2022's X, and lent her voice to records by Russian Circles, Deafheaven, and Myrkur. Her ninth album, The Dark, arrives 21 August 2026 on Loma Vista, written in sobriety and deliberately stripped of the layered production that shaped its predecessor.
