Alicks

Alicks is a self-taught musician based in Georgia who has been quietly accumulating one of the more idiosyncratic catalogs in independent ambient music since 2014. Working under several aliases over the years — among them a l e x, SOJUDA, and FLYING CHILDREN — the project has gradually consolidated under a single name, as though the sprawl itself became the point. Twenty-three releases deep, the music ranges from delicate lo-fi sketches to ten-minute drone constructions, with track titles like "grinding repetition" and "silently existing" that do less to describe the sound than to set a particular mood before you press play. The most recent album, Requiems (2026), was dedicated to three grandfathers.
