Andy Falconer (afp) is Oxford-born producer and composer who surfaced in London's early-90s electronic scene, co-producing The Orb's debut album "Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld" alongside Alex Paterson, Kris Weston, and Jimmy Cauty. His solo work as afp pursues a distinctly organic strain of ambient music - long-form pieces built from piano, trumpet, and violin woven through electronic textures, released in formats that trust the listener to stay: his 2026 album "The Further Adventures of Kapitan Ping" consists of just two tracks, each running close to 25 minutes. He also records as one half of Sedibus with Paterson, and has collaborated over the decades with artists including The Art of Noise, System 7, and Massive Attack's multimedia collaborator Andrew Melchior.
