Adult DVD

Adult DVD are a six-piece from Leeds who build club music with a live band, stacking as many as four synths over real drums until the result sounds like techno being played by a post-punk group. Harry Hanson and Greg Lonsdale started the project during lockdown, trading tracks over the internet before the lineup swelled to fit all the synth players the songs kept demanding. Their lyrics run to absurdist character studies - existential cowboys, doomsday preppers, a man fretting over mistaking Tom Hanks for Bill Murray - set against sawtooth synths and acid-house grooves, delivered live with the sweaty abandon of a club night. After the EPs Fountain of Youth and Next Day Shipping, a place on the BBC 6 Music A-List, and a summer of festivals from Glastonbury to Green Man, they signed to Fat Possum Records and lined up a self-titled debut album for September 2026.
